ASOS is one of our favourite online stores, it’s amazing for fashion, and it’s selling more and more of the makeup brands we love. It now stocks high end names like Nars, Benefit, Stila, Illamasqua and The Balm, as well as high street staples like Rimmel, Maybelline, Eylure, Barry M and Nyx.
Student discount
Probably the main reason we love ASOS is that if you’re a student (or cheeky enough to pretend to be one), you can get 10% off full priced items year round. It’s great for brands that rarely discount, because you can get ALWAYS get a little bit off.
All you need to prove you’re a student is either a UniDays account, an NUS Extra card or just sign up to ASOS with your .ac.uk uni email.
Sign up to the ASOS newsletter to find out when they boost their student discount to 20%, to double your savings.
Sales
ASOS saleThe ASOS sale is pretty legendary, and beauty is often a big part of it. Prices can get seriously low, so don’t forget to check the beauty section when you’re looking for end of season bargains.
Codes
If you’re not a student you can still save a little bit extra with ASOS’ semi-regular money off codes. They’re usually released towards the end of the sale, i.e an extra 10% off, and on special days like Black Friday or on your birthday, or sometimes for no reason at all.
ASOS will usually email them to you directly, but keep an eye on websites like HUKD for more sneaky codes.
Delivery
Standard ASOS delivery is £3 for orders under £20, or free if you spend over £20, it’s a pretty good deal for the occasional ASOS shopper.
However, if you’re alllllllways shopping at ASOS? It might be worth signing up to ASOS Premier, it’s £9.95 a year for unlimited next day delivery (with no minimum spend). Next day delivery is normally £5.95 a time (or free if you spend £100+ with code NEXTDAY), so if you’re going to use next day delivery more than once a year, then it’s definitely worth it.
ASOS A-list
This is a brand new loyalty scheme launched by ASOS, you get 5 points per £1 spent, and 500 points can be traded in for a £5 voucher, that means you’re earning a fiver back for every £100 you spend.
It sounds like a lot, but it does add up! Once you’ve earned the voucher it only lasts for 6 months, so spend it as soon as you have it so you don’t miss out. You also only get awarded the points 28 days after you order to make sure you don’t return anything.
Depending on how often you shop there are a number of double points days available each year, so it’d only be a £50 spend for a £5 voucher on those days.
The best part is that you can stack A list points on top of codes and sales, so you really can make a good saving by combining all of these deals.
