Yet again we’ve trawled through Tk Maxx, finding the best bargains and taking pictures – looking like crazy ladies in public so you don’t have to. We’ve compiled all the best deals we’ve found, and now we’ll tell you what’s worth it, and what’s not!
If you find anything epic in Tk Maxx tweet it to us, we’d love to see! We’re @beautymarkdown and we loooove bargains.
Nail Varnish - £2
Illamasqua typically sell their nail varnishes for £14.50, so this is a saving of £12.50. This was the only colour I could find, but your local Tk Maxx may have more variety.
Liquid eye liner - £2
This was a sale item again, so even cheaper than Tk Maxx usually sells it. Their supply of Stila stuff seems pretty steady in my local store, the foundations have been around for months and they’ve been getting new shades in. This eyeliner is worth £14.50 so it’s a hell of a bargain, and Tk Maxx may become my go to place when shopping for all things Stila.
Strobing kit - £10
Gotta be honest, I’d never heard of Bellapierre before, but I thought this looked interesting – whatever it was, so I took the photo. Turns out this thing is worth £50, and the brand has won loads of awards for being natural, organic, and cruelty free – score!
Liquified Metallic Lipstick - £3
Too Faced currently have this lipstick on sale from £19 to £9, so Tk Maxx is selling for a third of the sale price! I could only find the shade ‘Dream House’ but go digging in your local and see what you can find.
Face Brush - £6
Real Techniques sell this brush for £7.05 so this isn’t a huge bargain – but I haven’t factored postage into that. However if you were going into Boots to buy this you’d pay £9.99, so, yeah…
Metals brush collection - £16.99
Worth £23.50 – £28 depending on where you go.
Colour correcting stick - £4.99
Nowhere seems to be selling this anymore, except Lookfantastic where you can pick one up for £38, or Tk Maxx where it’s a fiver. Good for anyone stocking up, especially if it is in fact discontinued.
Nail Varnish Duo - £6.99
This is sold out on Illamasqua’s site, but did cost £24 – bargain!
Foundation - £6.99
Ok, so on their site, this foundation is £26.50, but that’s for 8g, this is 2g. So actually this is almost 37p more than it’s actually worth. WTH!
Studio Eye Gloss - £12.99
To buy this from MAC or Debenhams would cost you £16. Buuuut, I can’t see any way of telling the colour from the outside, so a lot of people have probably opened this up to have a look, and who can really blame them? So if it were me I’d pay the extra three quid to not have had other people’s grubby hands all over something I’ll wear on my eyelids.
Eyeshadow 2.0 - £4.99
This seems to be another discontinued product, but was formerly on sale for £18.50 – £21. You can get it on Amazon for like £6.99, but I’m not sure it’s actually legit.
Eyeshadow - Love in Florence - £3.99
It’s another discontinued product! Get it while it exists, folks!
Eyeshadow - £7.99
Tk Maxx claim this is worth £16, but if I’ve worked it out right, it’s only a tenner anyway. Still, TK is £2 less – can’t turn your nose up at that!
Slick stick lip crayon - £5.99
Worth £18.50! Tk Maxx are doing well with their Illamasqua discounts!
Foundation, concealer, and brush - £4.99
This was at Tk Maxx last time we looked too, and I still can’t get over the idea of a foundation for a fiver. Except Primark’s, but there should be a serious jump up in quality here. It even comes with a little brush! If I ever find my shade I’m stocking up, seriously.
Marvelous Moxie lipliner - £4.99
Worth £13, and not actually sold out or discontinued!
